In January 2009, the delegates of the MVL association voted to begin a debt reduction campaign entitled Faith, Family, Future. This action was in response to a debt that had grown to almost $1.8 million. The campaign is led by the Steering Committee, who was charged by the Board of Directors to lead this effort. As of June 2011, the debt has been reduced to $739,181.00, thanks to a great number of gifts, commitments, and estate gifts.
