MVL’s Math Team is comprised of approximately fifteen students from grades 9-12. Students compete individually and as part of an 8 member team at each math meet. MVL is a member of the Minnesota State High School Math League. During each of the five regular season meets MVL competes against seven other schools in the Minnesota Valley division.

In the 2011-2012 season the team took second place at three meets and third place at two meets, resulting in a second place finish in our division for the season. Several team members placed in the top 15 of the division and recieved special recognition for their efforts.

5 meets are scheduled for the 2012-2013 season: Nov. 11 @ St. Peter, Nov. 26 @LCWM, Dec. 17 @ BEA, Jan. 7 @ Mankato East, and Feb. 11 @ Fairmont.  Please contact Miss Timmermann if you have question about Math Team or are interested in joining.
